Accessibility Statement

Goonjar is committed to making its financial calculators usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice control software, or keyboard-only navigation.

Conformance standard

These calculator pages target WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), covering colour contrast, keyboard operability, semantic structure, form labelling, and focus visibility. This is a target, not a certification — see “Known gaps” below for where the pages currently fall short of it.

What's in place

  • A “Skip to content” link on every page in this section.
  • Every form input has a visible, programmatically-associated label.
  • Calculator results are announced to screen readers as they update.
  • Interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone.
  • Colour is never the only signal used to convey information (icons/text accompany colour-coded categories).

Known gaps

  • The embedded calculator widget (`/calc/embed/{key}`, for partner sites) renders inside a partner-controlled iframe — its colour contrast and keyboard flow are tested standalone, but the surrounding page chrome is outside this app's control once embedded elsewhere.
  • Dynamically generated share-card and link-preview images (Open Graph images) are decorative and are not currently paired with programmatically-associated alt text on every platform that renders them (this is a constraint of how link previews are fetched by chat apps/social platforms, not a page defect).
  • Some numeric input fields rely on the browser's native `<input type="number">` spinner controls, whose accessible labeling varies slightly across browsers/screen readers rather than being fully normalised by this app.
  • Full keyboard-only and screen-reader walkthroughs are complete for the calculator hub and result pages; a small number of the 42+ individual calculator forms have not yet had a dedicated manual audit pass (automated axe-core-style checks pass on all of them).

Reporting an accessibility issue

If you encounter an accessibility barrier on any calculator page, please write to [email protected] with the page URL and a description of the issue. We aim to acknowledge reports within a reasonable time and prioritise fixes that block access to a calculator entirely.
