Safety & privacy
What we protect, and how
We tell you what is protected and how. We also tell you what is not ready yet.
How your information is looked after
Your private vault
- Sandook is the place for IDs, passwords and private papers.
- It is PIN & Biometric Locked: it asks for your PIN or your fingerprint or face to open.
- You can also lock single chats in Settings, Locked & hidden chats.
Your chats
- Your personal chats, one-to-one and groups, are end-to-end encrypted. Only the people in the chat can read the messages.
- Group chats are also protected on our servers, on their way and where they are stored.
- Chats inside an organization, such as a shop or clinic inbox, are run by that organization and are not end-to-end encrypted.
You decide who sees what
- Choose who sees your last seen, photo, about and phone number.
- Choose who can call you, find you in search, add you to groups or ask you for documents.
- Turn read receipts off, mute people and mute words.
Reporting and blocking
- Report a post or a person. Reports go to moderators.
- Block people from Settings, Privacy, Blocked.
- Our community standards say what is not allowed.
Your data, your choice
- Download a copy of your data as a file.
- Delete your account when you want. It is permanent.
- We ask for your date of birth when you sign up.
What is not ready yet
We would rather tell you than let you guess.
- Two-step verification for your account is not available yet.
